why do i get shocked when my psp is charging?

i just got a psp slim yesterday, whenever its charging if i try to pick it up, i get zapped, why? it runs fine its just when it charges

That's not a good sign, it means there's a short in the cord or the psp. I'd bring it back if you can.

Quit telling him to take it back, my psp has done this since the day I got it (two years ago) and it's fine. I notice it happens on mine when I touch the bottem screw when it's charging, it's alright just try not to touch the bottem. If it bothers you go ahead bring it back, but thats not to say it wont happen again.

i gata agree with sword, my psp does it sometimes when it is fully charged, nothing to worry about other then dropping the psp from shock of the shock (lol?)

If I just bought a new slim psp and it was shocking me I would bring it back. Unless you are a masochist. :roll: then by all means keep it and get shocked.

ouch

defiently not normal, do u think sony would risk peoples houses getting started and fire and getting sued? trust me its not normal bring it back and complain that it gave u extreme pain and try and get some free stuff! lol :P

its the charger, it only happens on the official one, i charge my psp with a charger/usb on my pc

Heh. This reminds me when i used to stick my fingers in a disposable camera after I crack it open. Yeah, I was a strange child back then. Anyway, if your PSP is giving you the shock treatment, you'd want to replace it. I play mine on the charger all the time, and that never happens.

seriously there may be a fault with the wiring somewhere take it back and get it replaced.
