i got it for the exclusives. my ps 3 library is small but thats ok. its easier to concentrate on 1 system anyway. i just like having it so i have that option open if i want it. like i grabbed uncharted, resistence and ratchet and clank. next i will grab little big planet and resistence 2 when it comes out. rest of the mainstream games i will just play on my 360 since they come out for it first usually.
I had just won a major settlement and wanted one of those sexy black beasts very badly.
So much that I paid $848 for it at launch. I got the 60gig version, and love it to death. I spent a fortune that year buying cars, toys for my kids, tv's, and all the crap that idiots buy when they win a bunch of unearned money. I was clouded in judgement by that cash to say the least (I even bought a Wii).
Yet, there are only 2 things that I do not regret buying, and in fact, absolutely treasure.....
My Trans Am and my 60gig PS3.
Because I had a Xbox 360 and didn't like it. I sold it and a week later the kid I sold it to said it had RRoD. I was gonna buy another one cuz I missed the Next Gen Gaming Experience. Did a bit of research on the PS3 and found that it was a much better route to take. IMO the PS3 is better than 360. Technologically speaking it is superior, but the features are all based on opinion. PS3 has great exclusives, and so does 360. I just prefer PS3.
Don't be a hater just because I say that. Both are great in their own ways. :D
Not gonna lie I bought it for MGS4 and MGS4 only. In the end I love the thing and have built up a respectable library, my initial fear was after MGS4 I wouldn't touch the thing but its actually MGS4 I barely touch. I beat it then shelved it to move onto other things.Ket87
you are lucky you have not run into me online because i would make you put that ps3 up. haha
jk ps3 is the greatest
I bought it because I thought it would have a lot support, but was let down. Once I noticed that the other sets weren't that much better, than I didn't mind so much. I am not really into PGR, Forza, or Halo, so most of the big 360 games out there don't interest me. I prefer the PS controller to the 360's I also prefer the interface. I used to be part of this RPG whiner bandwagon but after playing 3 RPG's on 360, I don't mind it so much. I basically got a 360 for RPG's but I haven't touched it in like 2 months because most of the games I want to play are also on PS3. I don't care too much about online and mainly use it for demos so I am not going to pay an extra $50 just for that.
The games I want to play this year are Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Prince of Persia, Mirrors Edge, and Tales of Vesperia. I am still undecided on whether to play Infinite Undiscovery or not, but most of these games are on PS3.
As far as 09 goes, PS3 looks like it has the better lineup. Even if Tekken 6 goes multi, I am still getting the PS3 version because the Dpad on 360 is crap.
Since most companies differences are from their first party games, the PS3 is a winner in my book
