Which is better Dead Space OR MGS4??

I cannot decide which to buy, please tell me which you think is better

I would recommend Dead Space more as a stand-alone title, but if you appreciate the MGS franchise and have played the other 3 games, then it has to be Metal Gear Solid 4 hands down.

Actually, I do recommend playing MGS4 - even without prior MGS knowledge. It's simply a great action title as well, and many newcomers to the franchise have enjoyed it as well.

They are amazing games... get both

depends on what you like.

if you like your games action packed and don't give a rats ass about stary, then go with dead space.

mgs4 has some of the best graphics in gaming and provide a cintematic experience that rivals high production movies, but aside from the boss battles, it is a little weak on the action side

Dead Space is better if you want to actually spend time playing the game

MGS4 has the better story (there is no story in Dead Space)

MG is very involved you need alot of time and patience. deadspace is super fun game and easy to get into. Personally MGS4 hands down.

But, their so differant, and I guess it depends on taste.

Dead Space, has terrible stroy telling (IMO) and the characters aren't really interesting, and I found the game pretty linear and straight forward, not really challenging or engaging, and not worth a 9.0 maybe more on the 7.0 scale. It's got a great atmosphere, and some great scares, but just became boring and predictable to me after the half way point.

I haven't played through MGS4 but I've heard it's got great story telling and characters. Though, a little on the short side when the cut scenes are done with. I'd go with MGS4 having played through Dead Space and being dissapointed with it. I consider it a two night hire game, not a game you will come back too very often, but some people will disagree with that.

Personally Metal Gears, but they both have completly different moods, but in the long run, metal gears.

Depends on how much you have, I mean you should be able to pick both up from a Pre owned section of a game shop by now.

I haven't played very much of Dead Space, but I have completed Metal Gear Solid 4 a couple of times before, so I'd vote that. It's awesome anyway. :D

Never played MGS. Played Dead Space amazing game for me.

Bottomline - If you have PS3 get MGS 4 else Dead Space for SURE.

I voted for Dead Space because I prefer an action game that has less talking and more action. MGS4 is a great game but the long cut scenes and constant chatter breaks up the action. The attempt at humor sorta fails also. However with Dead Space the action is constant with very little talk time.

Metal Gear Solid 4 for me, I loved the graphics for it being on playstation and also the series has always been gripping and epic.

Dead space. I love espionage but MGS4 is way overrated. The camera also is so jerky.

MGS4 for a great story and all around epicness and Dead Space if you want to scare the crap out of yourself! It's up to you really. It's your money spend it wisely.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Why?

Because It's one of the reasons I got PS3. ;)

In all seriousness, I also have Dead Space and if you like Sci-fi third person shooter (little bit of horror/some survival), it's a very good game and it deserves to stand on my game shelve along side top notch quality exclusives however if I had to chose MGS4 story, characters and gameplay is something I had been enjoying since original PS MGS title.

Don't disregard Dead Space however it's a great game as well.
