I LOVE Assassin's Creed 2

I personally like 2 the best, although I would be willing to admit that Braotherhood's gameplay mechanics are slightly superior.
I liked ACII but I hated the protagonist Ezio. I bought Brotherhood just recently and I haven't gotten far enough to decide if it's good or not. So far Ezio is much better in this game. He doesn't whine as much. If they were going to choose a protagonist to base sequels off of then it should have been Altair NOT EZIO. Revelations does look good though but we'll see. Overall storyand gameplay wise I enjoyed ACIIthe most.If Iwere to choose based on protagonist then it would definitely be ACI.

I didn't rate Assassin's Creed 1 much, but I did certainly enjoy 2 (apart from collecting those damn feathers!). I haven't played Brotherhood as yet and will probably pick it up on the cheap at some point, as I will with Revelations.
So yeah, my vote goes to Assassin's Creed 2.
Having just finished Brotherhood, I have an interesting perspective.
I really enjoyed this latest game, but "the truth" minigame was not as involved as it was in AC2. I did like the improvements made around shops, and the upgrade system was a nice touch, but somehow that whole system came off weaker than it was in AC2... not as much art to buy.. not as much of a progression in "shop quests" as I would have liked.
I also liked that you could mark a location based on the menu system (for glyphs, etc). And thankfully they added menu indicators for flags and feathers. I just skipped most of them in AC2 and gave up on flag locations quickly in the first. Too many hidden too well with little to no indicators in the first AC.
Overall, I think Brotherhood improved upon an already amazing game in AC2. My nod goes to Brotherhood.
[QUOTE="Foulcry"]What's wrong with Ezio? He's a little ****. I can't stand Ezio either. This is in contrast to Altair who is a cold and level headed professional assassin. I'm glad they're ending Ezio's story arc with Revelations. Perhaps they'll bring back Altair to the spotlight or give us a brand new protagonist entirely.I liked ACII but I hated the protagonist Ezio. Yea I finished the story on one account and now I'm playing multiplayer on my other account. I thought the story was a little shorter than the first 2 though. I addicted to the multiplayer but it can be frustrating. I think 2 is the best but Revelations looks great except all of the bombs. Not that stealthy.
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is better.
Story isn't nearly as good or fleshed out. But the core gameplay is much better, there is more variety, better visuals, multiplayer. It's the better game in every area except for Story.

What's wrong with Ezio? i just remember him whinning a lot and i don't it was a hugedissapointment going from a bad*** character like altair to ezio. who was a spoiled whinny child.AC Brotherhood for me. For some reason, I couldn't get into AC1 and AC2 was an improvement, but it wasn't enough to keep me hooked. I just recently picked up AC Brotherhood and they got me with this game.
One thing I don't understand is, why are so many people complaining about the addition of multiplayer? I think they really polished the gameplay and made some good additions, and there are alot of people that really enjoy the multiplayer aspect of it. Personally, it's not for me so I just don't play it, I'm not going to complain about having the option to play though.
Gotta go with AC 2. Sure Ezio could be kind of annoying (even in Brotherhood) but I'm a sucker for a good story and AC 2 delivered. Plus the music (especially in Venice) was just awesome, it took the atmosphere to another level. I also miss the fighting mechanic where you had to time the button presses with the hits to more quickly kill your opponent which Brotherhood seemed to be missing. That or my timing sucked throughout. Gotta go with 2.
2, they never should of added multiplayer.ultimameteora
Multiplayer was a great thing that added to the experience.
Brotherhood. Having one city makes the game a lot more focused and everything just seems better put together from a story perspective and how the missions are set up.
