i had an n64 before i bought a ps1 so i got into this console quite late i guess. anyway my first games were tony hawks pro skater and resident evil.mooooo99
Warhawk at the launch of the Palystation(1). I was getting allot of play out of my 3DO at the time, but the Playstation had some appealing games right at launch.
I had that and it disappeared. I've been so tempted to buy another copy on eBay. Back then, I used to sell my games all the time. This is one of those games that I had, and sold, then boughtit again somtime in 06 on the Target Clearance rack for $9.99. That night, me and my buddy stayed up for hours replaying it, trying to execute all of the Fatalities.
PS2: GTA3. It got me back into gaming when I had stopped from boredom and lack of innovation.
Its funny, at 33 I am probably older than 80% of the people on this board.

i'm 28, and that's pushing the age envelope for a site like this. luckily most ppl on here during the day are a bit older due to school. i'm glad i can comment on forum's at work. helps the day go a little faster.

I think it was Tekken 2 for the PS1 and then I might have gotten Final Fantasy 7 like a week or two later when it launched (I didn't get Tekken at launch).
I remember Tekken 3 being the game that pushed me to buy a PS1 although I never bought Tekken 3 when I got my PS1 :P. I remember getting 5 FREE games with a DEMO disk. One of the games that I truly loved from the ones they gave me was CastleVania: Symphony of The Night. In the DEMO disk there was many awesome games like TOMBI, Crush Bandicoot 3, Miedevil, Spyro the Dragon, Tomb Raider 3 and the mighty MGS1. When I played MGS1 demo, my gaming life changed completely.

the original ridge racer, Mortal Kombat 3or2 and some espn extreme sports game with roller blading, biking and skate boarding. Got them at the same time.

Hey now!!! LOL - seriously though I built my first computer from a kit in 1978 and have been gaming ever since. That's over 30 years now which just sounds crazy.
Anyway - yeah it's great to have such a varied age group - thing is that gaming is not just for kids anymore, as people our age have grown up with playing games it has evolved into a full on form of entertainment regardless of age. In this day and age to say gaming is for kids is like saying that movies are for kids or music is for children - gaming as well as other forms of media are for everyone. :)
either crash or twisted metal 2 for ps1, i know for sure it wa tekken tag tournament for ps2, ps3 was Resistance which is why it holds a special place in my heart.
I got two with my original PSOne: Destruction Derby 2 and Twisted Metal 2. These still remain 2 of my favorite all-time games and I play them occassionally.
I remember I was in the hospital at the time when I put my hands on a PS1 for the first time... I got ill early in my life... But fully recovered though... I remember the first game ever being played on a PS1... WCW Vs. The World... Can't say it was a great game but it cought my attention.
