I'm trying to decide between a 26" and 32" for my room and PS3. The price difference is $500 to $750. The only thing I worry about is if 26" is to small. Thanks in advance for the input!

I just ordered a 65inch Toshiba 65hm167 for $1750 shipped, no tax, plus no interest for a year from onecall.com. I plan to sit 10 feet away.

I think 32inch would be better. It will let you sit back a bit further and enjoy the HD detail better, kind of important for games to see things in the distance. 26inch is decent but the bear minimum for small and if you are sitting 5 feet away it might not be the best option. Then again, is the price difference for the 6 inches worth it to you? How will this be setup ? If you plan to sit right in front of it then the size doesn't matter a whole lot because with HD you can sit a lot closer to them like a PC screen without it looking bad like a regular SD tv. Speaking of regular square 4:3 tv on a 32inch widescreen, it will appear around the size of a 26inch tv incase you want to watch tv often.

I have a 32 inch and it's a good size. It fits well in my room, some people i know have smaller rooms than mine and they have 42 inch tv's and you get dizzy since your pretty close to the tv. I'd get a 32 inch.

Excuse my typos in my first post.

2-4 feet away should be good for 26inch. You can always move to 2 feet for games like GRAW where you need to survey and shoot objects real small in the distance. What's the model you are looking at for 26inch?

26 is a GREAT size for your room. Well depends how big the room is.

I got a 32" for my room and I actually had to adjust to how big it looks in my room lol.

I have an awesome 32" CRT tv, made by sony, and the ps3 looks awesome.  It's not even hd (got it just before it came out).  My viewing distance is 5 feet, if u use good component cables, u can sit close and not notice too much lines.

It's an Olevia. I'm not sure of the exact model but I did some research on it and it seems like you can't beat it for the price.

I do have a 32incher in my room too, a Olevia 232v LCD panel, the one Circuit City has for $499.

It works well as I needed it to be somewhat larger to watch tv in bed while I play the 360 (PS3 in living room) sitting in my desk chair within 4 feet. http://other.toonguru.com/speakers/set_002.jpg

Being cheap I don't expect it to be perfect. It looks great with vivid/bright stuff and during the day. At night it's still good unless you have the lights out and are watching something real dark as the blacks look a bit glowy and gray.

Samsung LN-S4095D.  Look that up.  Look at those beautiful specs.  LCD.  HDTV.  40 inches.  Native 1080p@125fps+, 54 lbs, widescreen, 12,800,000,000 colors (or 800 colors for every 1 of your guys's tv's), 6,000:1 contrast ratio, 8ms response time.   DNIE (digital natural image enhancer) enhances motion, colors, clarity, and brightness (only Samsung has that), 2 HDMI, 2 Component Video, PC input, optical OUTPUT, displays 480i/p 720p, and 1080i/p.  Game mode enhances response time, colors, and motion.  Zero dead pixels.  The best picture I have ever seen except 1, the newest, most expensive Samsung 1080P LCD HDTV.  Only the best for my PS3, only the best for my eyes.  If anyone is looking for a new TV, get mine, it's 100% worth it, guarenteed, despite the price tag (I paid $2,300 for it.)

I've got an old 24" Toshiba SDTV. Which I'm sure seems very small to a lot of you, but in my room it's HUGE. :P

As to which one you should get, bigger is always better IF you've got the room space and viewing distance to handle it.

I have a 27 inch hd ready. For me, I think it might be better since my room isn't huge, and I'm sitting pretty close to it (1-3 meters away). You should keep that in consideration.

I have a 42" Westinhouse LCD. At first it looked huge in my room but I have adjusted to it. I still only sit like 3 feet away from it. I'd go for a 32" if I were you, that's a good size.
