My gaming setup is in my basement, and I use wifi to use my PS3, Wii, Xbox 360, and imac. My router and modem are on my main floor, so the signal goes directly through my floor to my basement. Here are my results:

DOWNLOAD: 6.84Mb/s

UPLOAD: 0.47Mb/s

PING: 74ms

http://www.speedtest.net/

What do you think of mine? I am thinking of setting up my modem and router in my basement to improve my connection. Post your results so others can see! :)

Highest i've had is 12mbps download and 2.3mbps upload but now it seems i generally get 6mbps download and 1.4mbps upload so not too bad i guess, but inb4 fake screenshots of a persons school or companies speed.

I'm actually at a family member's house out of state, so this isn't a reflection of my internet speed, though I can't imagine it's any more faster or slower than this.

I have slow internet. It sucks because my dad refuses to upgrade it. (I'm 17 and live with my parents.)

you want to have a low ping. the higher your ping the more lag you will get.

Mine, that on the wired router... it will be slower if I had it on my WiFi though.

I got my house hardwired with cat5e and have my FIOS router tied directly into a 16 port gigabit hub which is connected to all my network jacks throughout the house. My main PS3 is on the first floor and my move gaming is on my fat PS3 on the second floor in the living room
