What is your best/most favorite shooter that you have ever played?

For me there are three(3) games that are equally my best and most favorite shooters, and they are Half-Life 2(PC,PS3,360) and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(PC) games and Mass Effect(360). Also I think that Borderlands will be a great shooter as well, and that it may just be added to my list.

- I have had Half-Life 2 on PC since it was first released back in late 2004 and I have The Orange Box on PS3 and 360 since they were released in late 2007. I think that even by todays standards that Half-Life 2 is still one of the best shooter experiences in videogames, and not many other shooters come close. I really do think that it is that great of a videogame.
- As for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.(PC) games they are more of a cult type favorite as not many people seem to like them or have even heard of them, but if you have played them then you may understand just how great they really are. To me these are like an RPG shooter without really any RPG elements in it, but overall they are one of the best shooter games in videogame history. I wish that more shooter games would be more like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
- I have had the Mass Effect Limited Collector's Edition since it was released in late 2007 and I just couldn't be anymore happier with this game, as it is the best sci-fi space shooter ever in videogame history. It is my overall favorite Xbox360 videogame which is until Mass Effect 2 comes out. I really just can't say enough about this great game, but I will just say that I really like it alot.
- Okay Borderlands I just know that it will be soo awesome and a really great game. It will be so great atleast to me that I am getting it on Xbox360(pre-order at Gamestop) and on PS3(rent and then buy from Gamefly). I will mostly be playing the single player and some online play every now and then, as I really just can't wait to play it.

Uncharted or Mass Effect.

Both amazing games

I loved the original Halo. Having LAN parties with friends was just so much fun.

Call of Duty 2 was also wonderful and probably my favorite online shooter.

Killzone 2 is the best fps ive ever played.

Hard to say, I actually enjoyed a lot of Shooters, but I'd go with Time Splitters 2 overall, on PS3 with Red Faction, exclusive Uncharted

Battlefield Badcompany is my favrite shooter for now. i just love being able to blow the walls apart. some of the guns need to be fixed in power in my oppinon like gernade launcher doesnt kill with one shot on direct hit. . . . killzone 2 used to be my favorite but i got a little burnt out on it

Timesplitters 2, I loved playing Multiplayer alot.

Killzone 2, I've stopped playing Call of Duty 4 for months now becasue I've been playing alot of Online Multiplayer.

Killzone 2 is the best fps ive ever played.

I used to play CS and UT competitively years ago.

And Timesplitters was just too damn fun, and i remember that in that time i had a steady group of friends near my home, so we played a 4 man split-screen 2-3 days a week.

I can't believe how many people are saying KZ2 and how few are saying Goldeneye.

Probably Uncharted for the PS3, the game was actually a challenge in some parts.

Id have to say, of all time, Goldeneye. I could still play that game for hours at a time.

My favorite is Project Snowblind for the PS2. There was an awesome variety of weapons, and you really had to strategize as far as which weapon would work best in each situation. There was a great variety of environments, and the action was fast paced. Just a great game overall.

Of course I haven't played Uncharted yet - just downloaded 3.01 today so maybe I'll give it a try now.
