What have your PS3 console suffered through sine you bought it?

Just wondering what kinds of problems you have had(problem reading disc, machine start etc) if any and how it works today. Also state if its a 40 GB, a 60 GB or a 80 GB. If you had any problems, how did you solve it?

40gb ps3 running smooth and clean.

It suffered through 2 years of no Valkyria Chronicles. Once VC was finally put into the sytem it breathed life again.

Lack of playing time from its owner... i can only give it 2-3 everyday... i wish i could give more.

80GB PS3 bought 2 months ago. Problems with dust and freezing occasionally.

no problems at all. the only thing my ps3 has done is be reliable, which has allowed me to enjoy many hours of playing amazing games such as fallout 3, cod4, killzone 2, etc.. :D

Bought my 80GB boxing day last year, hasnt suffered too much, it only froze once, and i dust it once a week so as to keep it nice and clean.

Mine has had to suffer playing only PS1 and PS2 Final Fantasy games. When will XIII come out and end this suffering?

dust and the occasional freezing, though the freezing always happened when i was doing something online apart from two times where one was GTAIV freezing before the first update and pro evolution soccer 2009 with custom songs on the menu....that just didnt want to work at all haha. mine is a 60gb which i bought august 2007

got my 60gig on launch day way back when, and so far (fingers crossed) not a single problem at all, and I play it every day

oh and is dust really a playstation fault? just dust your room more! mine gets dusty sometimes, but i just use a damp cloth and it stays shiny for a few days, doesnt actually affect my gaming experience, its not like i eat off it or anything!

I've had a 60 GB since launch day. No problems till I upgraded the HDD. I occasionally get a "Cannot start. Correct hard disk could not be found." error message. I just restart it, and the error goes away.

I take the thing everywhere I go. It's been through its fair share of x-ray machines at the airport and what-not.

My first PS3 broke because of YLOD, but my current one, which I have had for about a year now, has had no problems.

lots of dust, and once it was knocked off the shelf by a drunk friend.. Thankfully nothing was damaged, exept for my friend :P

My 40GB model stopped playing Blu-Ray discs recently. It's being repaired now but it's the only major problem I've had with my PS3.

My old 60GB stopped reading discs, but only suffered from dust. I am very careful with technology.

I was probably one of the first people to get the PS3 and it broke (doesnt want to turn on and I get the famous Yellow Light of Death or however you want to call it) around 3 months ago, I called SONY and they told me its $150 for me to send it and get it fixed... Should I do that or any recommendations?

One hard drive upgrade, a YLOD :cry: twice made me lose all my save files :cry::cry: all my MGS4 saves....gone...

My PS3 make some noise when is turned on for 10 minutes :( and I don't know if this is good, BTW is the 80 GB mgs4 bundle (not full BC)

gonna have it with me for a long time :)

freezing issue...and lately my ps3 has been loud cuz of the fan....i guess its 2 hot in my room
