So, I played the demo of VF5 at my local walmart, and there were some notable jaggies, especially around the faces of the characters. It was playing on a small bravia tv in 720p, so I'm wondering if the demo looks worse than the actual game or perhaps it was the tv setings? or does the game have said jaggies?

I haven't played the demo, but jaggies will exist with the current gen of consoles. I know that the 360 uses something between 2x-4x AA and I'd assume the PS3 does the same. To truly get rid of the "jaggies", you need to start looking into the 16x and up range, not something other than a high-end pc would be able to even begin to do.

The surfaces/edges of objects appear jagged instead of smooth. I've played it on demo stands at Gamestation and not noticed any really bad cases. Of course jaggies can't even completely be eliminated so long as games are made of arrays of 2d shapes.

I've rented the game and it has the least "jaggies" of any ps3 game. Its very smooth, by the way what demo could you have been playing they dont have one out?

Probably just the T.V. settings, I don't recall seeing many jaggies in the 25+ hours invested into the gam.

The game actually looked smoother than Resistance, Motorstorm, and Oblivion on my settings.

VF5 has an option for you to make the graphics look smooth or sharp.

I chose smooth.:D

It has less jaggies!:)

Aliasing is exadurated on LCD monitors, so you wont see them vanish anytime soon. Given VF5 was so early on the PS3 id say it has low of any FSAA at all.
