... wasn't an open world sandbox style game?
For me I think it was MGS4. That was without skipping the cutscenes by the way. Took me about 28 hours. :)
This gen games please aswell :D

Final Fantasy XII
Took me about 110 hours. Damn those never-ending side quests!
(I'm assuming that JRPGs don't count as open-world sandbox games)
MGS4, high quality and lengthy. I wish more games would focus on quality AND length instead of just providing a short quality single player experience.Rattlesnake_8
Yep, I agree.
Call of Duty games would be even better with a few more hours added to the single player campaign.

Oh yeah, sorry. I meant PS3 games :D
Maybe persona 4 or Xenogears. I don't know, I've played so many JRPGs that last 70+ hours and I've played some of those 70+ hour games multiple times.
This gen I've probably put the most hours into LBP.
Wait... are we talking about the longest game, or the one we've spent the most time with? Because while MGS4 would be the longest for me, I've spent the most time with Resident Evil 5, as I've replayed it several times (which is what I assume you did with Valkyria Chronicles).Valkyria Chronicles. Have put in roughly 60-70 hours into that game. Haven't played it in awhile though due to an influx of games I need to beat.

I assume the game you spent the most time with in hours. As in actual play time. In either case, VC has seen the most time in my PS3.
Call of Duty 4: Multiplayer - 456 Hrs..
Pokemon: Red Singleplayer - 1,181 Hrs.. I have had the game since I was six :P
i have a feeling it's about to be midnight club la. that game is damn hard :-( the game will last me for hours and hourskweeniIsn't that open world?

28 hours dam even with the cutscense it took me only half those hours but who cares MGS4 is great
I have over 600 hours on Guild Wars when i first got it i never put it down lol
mine would have to be Dead Space, evern tho the game is only medium lenght, i have been back and played thru it multiple times! im talking weeks and weeks playing this game,
i was the same with max payne 2, over and over, i loved it everytime!
i think that is the sign of a really good game!!
I guess Uncharted. Havent played many games this gen. that are all that long, or take more than a week for me to finish. Uncharted took me about 2 and a half weeks on my schedule. So it gets my personal vote for longest. Games aren't really that long anymore. Online gameplay is replacing a lot of campaign length. Older generation games were a lot longer. Especially RPG's. Final Fantasy series, Zelda series, Phantasy Star Series, etc. These games always took up a lot of your time. I could've really went Star Ocean on the 360 or Zelda on the Wii but I'm assuming you meant on the PS3 which you didn't clarify.
[QUOTE="M0wen10"]that doesn't count! thank you .. if mgs 4 is 6hr worth of gameplay ... (those cutscenes made this game seem alot longer than what it is)... wasn't an open world sandbox style game?

When i first got my PS3 i got Resistance: Fall of Man with it... This was my first real system so i was kind of newbie at shooters.. it took me and my bud about 16 hours to beat it... now it takes me about 6 hours..

when i was 14 (12 years ago...scary!) it was the original Gran Turismo... I spent at least 18 moths playing that game and only that game... not played anything AS much since
