We were all under the impression that vita-ps4 remote play was local wifi(sort of like a stronger ad-hoc functionality) but the following TGS trailer implies that Vita owners will be able to access AND play their PS4s via any wifi(a strong one I'm assuming) connection essentially allowing Vita owners to remote play from anywhere they want that has wifi. That's fantastic as I was content with being able to play the likes of Imfamous: Second Son and Killzone: Shadowfall in my bed but this video has surprized me . . . could this be true?

Check out the 1:26 mark of the trailer to see:

If this functionality is indeed available then all I have to say is EAT YOUR HEART OUT Wii U!

If this is indeed true, I will go completely digital with the PS4 to take advantage of the feature. See, you don't have to force all digital on everyone, just add benefits like this.

This would be fantastic if true. I'm assuming you would need a very good internet speed at home as well as the wifi at your location.

It should work great with my 4G hotspot on my phone. 26mbps down and 8mbps up. PS4 gaming anywhere I have a signal would be great.
