should I buy new ps3 or wait for ps4

hi every one ,sadly my ps3 died from couple of months I gave it to my friend to repair but he looks so busy to repair it ,he tried to repair it once but without making overflow ,just applied thermal compound and its still getting ylod ,any way now I am just wondering should I get a new ps3 or wait for ps4,looks like sony,microsoft and nintendo going for a new console generation next year,so I was just wondering what I should be doing.

please don't comment with buy both.

some times I say this answer to my self but I back and say a new gta is coming and new uncharted 3 as well,so its kind of complicated to me.

Wait for the PS4 that is around 3 or 4 years away, costs like $700, has bugs and will have like only 2 or 3 decent games around launch. (sarcasm)

I would get another PS3, there will be a few more YEARS of great games coming out, no reason to wait that long for a PS4 really. Top that with the fact that there will only be 1 maybe 2 games worth owning at release and the choice is quite simple...PS3.

The PS4 isn't exactly around the corner, so if you plan on not playing any PlayStation games until around about 2014 I would get a PS3 just to pass the time.

where is everyone getting 2014 from?

that is just a guess we are all making but seeing as sony has been working on it for a whille i would expect 2013

This. Besides I'm assuming you already have games for your PS3, so this really is a no brainer, isn't it?

ps3, unless you can stand 3 to 4 years.

If you're happy with waiting for possibly 2 years or more to pay a premium for when PS4 comes out, go for it.

Get another PS3. PS4 is ages away.

I guess I will go for a new ps3 ,I was just staying that maybe it will come out next year in E3 bec nintendo announcement that a new console is going to release soon ,so I was just saying that maybe microsoft and sony will do the same,bec I think that sony felt sorry for releasing ps3 after one year of 360,they made them lose a lot of money ,even ign said that.

And essentially, that's calling someone stupid... the OP did ask whether or not to buy a new ps3 or wait for the ps4, right? The OP indicatied that he was pondering waiting for the ps4 release, which the poster I quoted said was stupid.

If you gonna wait for Playstation 4. It will be about 3 years until it is ready. Playstation 3 is $299.99 brand new (you even get a pack-in game) Black Ops.

So unless you going to camp out at Best buy for the November 17th 2014 midnight launch. Get a PS3 and start gaming. Sony has just admitted that they are working on Playstation 4. So it will be a long wait.

Even if the PS4 is announced at E3 this year, you'll still have a long wait. If anything, wait for some holiday sales later in the year. Maybe you'll get a nice bundle and some cash back/credit.
