I just took my Blu Ray version of Tropic Thunder out of my PS3 and noticed you can see through it, pretty easily, too. I look Resistant 2 also and a few others and they are all see through, DVDs don't do this and I though is was kind of cool. I wonder if this only works with single and double layer Blu Ray discs? Just thought everyone should be aware of this amazing chracteristic of the discs...

Ok... Don't know why the mention of how easily they damage, but I'll take your word for it. I've just been really tired studing for finals so I'm a little out of it. Still is kind of cool imo.

That was some epic fail right there. Almost quote worthy, actually.

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about.:|

Anyway, I've noticed that too, TC.

Yeah I noticed it before it makes you think they would break easy but they seem to be more durable than standard dvd's which really surprised me.

To make sure if you can see through dual layer discs, pick up MGS4 and try to see through it.

Blu-ray is scratch proof.

I watched a vid on youtube he was able to take a pizza cutter steel wool and a knife to a blu ray disk and it still worked. the only thing that didn't work was burning it.

nothing is scratch proof. thay are scratch resistant. you can easly scratch them IF YOU TRY. but as long as you treat them with some messure of care thay wont scratch

Blu-ray is amazing. I have so many DVD's that are damaged beyond repair. I throw and they fall by accident. Yet my Blu-ray disks have none. Even though I actualy was chewing on one by acident.
