ok here is how it should go, due to him changing into a chimera at last lvl the bullet shot into his brain didnt affect him like it would a normal human, the bullet was encased inside some sort of chimera goo, and when they take his body away after getting shot they find a cure and inject it into him which sorta saves him. and he comes back like jean luc picard when he was asimilated into the borg, and has like a 6th sense about all the chimera stuff just like he started to in R2. :D
