Resistance 2 review prediction

With all the resistance fans getting there taste of the beta, and after seeing all the previews and gameplay vids what does everyone think Resistance 2 will score with its reviews? (as in it's average score out of 10 from all reviewers)

From what I have seen and played this game in my book should deserve nothing lower than a 9.5

I say it gets an 8.5

well IGN gave both R2 and GOW2 a 9.5...will be interesting to see how the GS reviews pan out for both.shabazz5th

I really expect Gamespot to cop out and do the same.

I knock IGN for it more because they are on a .1 scale compared to GS .5 I think they just didn't want to rate one higher than the other and start an outrage either way.

Either way, I really think R2 will score higher. I'm really impressed with the R2 changes. I didn't even like the first one but can't wait to pick this one up. I loved the first Gears, but I don't think the second one added enough to the equation. They also used "destructible cover" a little too loosely...the cover takes damage, but it doesn't break away. That's not destructible at all to me, and that was what I was most excited about of all the new additions. Cliffy B you let me down.

On GS, I think it's likely to score somewhere in the 8.5-9.0 range. The beta was great... and I watched the Live Launch event on GS and the game looked pretty awesome there as well. But it just really depends on who reviews it.

As great as Gears looks, most reviewers are admitting that there is little difference in the gameplay of both games... yet it is scoring 9+ every where. So I think with the innovations R2 has made over R1, it should score at least a 9. The co-op and online are vastly improved.

Well, Gears 2 looks fun to be sure... my only issue with reviews is the fact that everyone is giving it a pass on the fact that not much has changed since the first one. Where as games like R&C are knocked for that same reason... even though both franchises still pack plenty of fun. I think the environments look better in Gears 2, and the online looks improved... but the core game is the same.
