Not gonna read the link, but since most people already played it countless times already theres no point in spending any more effort into the game if I was working for capcom.

Yes it is just a rumor. Is it true? Probably not. But I agree it would be cool, however it would be much better if they made an all new game entirely since it has been done before (read: all you would get is a graphics benefit).
