Questions about the PS3 before I get one

Is the PS4 or Xbox 720 going to come out before 2011? I don't want to get a PS3 if new systems are going to come out in a year.

Anyway, I just have some questions regarding the PS3. Gamestop.com says that the system comes with a free PS Network membership, is that for a lifetime or just the first month or two? And how does charging the wireless controllers work? Is it like the Xbox 360 where I have to buy a separate charger or some other accessory? And is there a gamer score system like the Xbox, where you get points from accomplishments in games?

The PS3 is still a cutting edge gaming system, so a PS4 in my opinion is still a ways down the road.

well ps4 will come out on the 6th year of the ps3 just like ps2 came out on ps1's 6th year and ps3 came on the 6th year of ps2.

I think it's due to the 360 aging really fast and people without a PS3 seem to be ready for an updated console. It wouldn't shock me to see a new xbox in a couple years. As for Sony, there is still alot they have planned and the whole 3D thing is pretty interesting.
