I'm going to GameStop tomorrow to get a new game or two, and Monster Hunter Freedom catches my eye. I've played the demo, and died. And died and died and died. So, here are some questions.

1) How long did it take you to get used to the controls and not die every five minutes?

2) Does it have a leveling system?

3) Is the bonus content worth the extra cash?

4) I have no friends with a PSP. Is it still worth it for soloing?

1) 5 minutes 2) Nope but as you progress, you get more kinds or armor, weapons and harder quests 3)Well if you don't have Mhf2 I think its worth it. 4)Yes, but you can also play online with ad-hoc party.

Monster hunter has a long learning curve so just keep trying. Dying a lot is pretty normal for someone new to series.

Actually it may take you more than 5 minutes, if you've never played. Just keep trying and don't give up. It gets really fun.

Thanks guys. I've been playing the demo for hours, and I found a good class for me. I'll have to pick this one up.

i'm playing this game as we speak. I've clocked in about 320 hours on my file all the way back from monster Hunter Freedom 1. It's one of the best games you could ever own for the PSP easily.

Wich class. Sword and shield?

No. It was actually the Light Bowgun class. The monster was to busy beating the crap out of my felyne to attack me, giving me time to shot. I'll probably experiment with more classes in the demo to see if there is a better class for me.

Well i really like the bows. They are fast, and you can charge them while running.

They're not really classes just different weapon types.

I personally prefer the Gun-Lance. Its a fulfilling weapon type for me. You can dodge, shoot from a distance, Attack up close with combos, Guard many minor and Wyvren attacks without breaking your stance, and you get to shoot a cool power shot that packs alot of kick but has a cooldown.

Try that once in a while.

I personally like the hammers. You can knock monsters stupid with them, they are strong as all hell, and decently fast. Plus the spin attack is funny to watch and hits about 6 times.

I'm old school and just use the sword and shield. I may go for the great swords cause they look bada$$ but slow as hell.
