PS3 needs a better library of games.

That depends on who you talk to, I my self am very content on the PS's library of games, and what the future has instore.

I agree with TC. I only have 2 games so far, MGS4 and Oblivion GotY. Among all the other PS3 games that are already released, I'm only interested in GTA 4 and Assassin's Creed. I'll sure to get those games when I have enough money. So there, almost 2 years since PS3 was out, I'm only interested in 4 games and only 1 is exclusive.

But my PS3 games will start to pile up starting next month. Star Wars The Force Unleashed (sept), LBP and NBA 2K9 (oct), and Valkyria Chronicles (nov) are sure buy. :)

Your right! It's all in your preference. I bought my PS2 a long time ago because i'm into RPG's. The PS3 is in my house because of MGS4 and Uncharted and BWC (I have a 60 gig from day 1). I know that's not a whole lot of games but it will grow. Its just what you are into and what you are willing to $pend. Nothing else and nothing more.

i don't see anything wrong with what the ps3 has now. I think its getting better. epecially next year's line up. God of War 3, Killzone 2, etc and later this year we're getting Resistance 2, Little Big Planet, and more

Just about every game made for one system is available on the other. So I am not sure where people get the idea that the library is not that good. Exclusives are the only thing that set the systems apart anymore.

The PS3 came out 1 year later than the other console, so you need to consider this as well. Last I checked the PS3's top ten games average a 9.0 score. The PS3 has more games than just about anyone could purchase that are ranked above 8.5

A mystery I guess.

Not quite sure what TC is referring to.. I'm quite happy with over 40+ PS3 games plus few PSN titles.

That's not even mentioning October and November 2008 which alone will have over 8 games to enjoy.

The library is there, it just takes a bare minimum research to find it. The only genre still lacking is JRPG market, but that will all change for better after FFXIII.

I mean, Mercenaries 2 comes in like, 3 or 2 days! The Force Unleashed comes shortly after! ... A month later GH World Tour is out. Then comes James Bond and LOTR in the same week! Two weeks later is Prince of Persia!

The current game library is fine. I'm liking what I have, and I don't have lots.

TC you do not like video games apparently. Yes any system can improve upon their library, but the only thing the PS3 is lacking in my opinion is RPGs. Like I keep telling people "if you don't like the library don't buy one, or sell yours". Honestly ppl quit complaining, the argument about the PS3 having no games died a while ago. I'm so sick of ppl acting like AAA titles should be dropping every week. It's not like those ppl are buying 20 plus games yearly anyways, but dissenters will find anything to complain about.

i think the library of games are great. i already have 8 (all exclusive BTY, except for CoD4) and theres still more that i want, released and unreleased alike. i havent even touched my 360 since i got ps3, the only game i play on 360 is Gears of War, and the only game im interested coming out for the 360 is Gears of war 2 :p

well there arent many good ps3 games than there is on the xbox 360 because its harder to make a game on the ps3 than it is on the 360, so this means some devs are tryin to learn how to make a decent game on the ps3 version and some are just plain lazy to make a ps3 version as good on the 360 (multiplat) and not as many exclusives right now. But dont you see thats why theres more and more ps3 versions are gettin better and more upcoming exclusives than the 360.

So thats the real reason why the ps3 library sucks for now... sry for comparing ps3 and 360 but its the only way to explain.
