Oh i get it you're talking about other systems games to get the thread locked. That's alittle weird.. Why not just pm a mod and ask for it to get locked?I'd say Oblivion it was fun while it lasted but a huge downgrade from Morrowind.
All games are overrated. No game can live up to the hype machine that promotes it. Games from the past that are lauded as revolutionary, and they may be, are crap when you go back to them today. And at the time they were overrated too. The hype is what causes these forums to go bonkers when a game is finally revealed to be, well, just a video game not the saving of mankind. Let's take killzone 2. I have both systems and while I'm exited to play it on friday, very excited, it will be a game that will have me running around shooting things. I know this may be considered an oversimplification but that is what it is. It's not going to revolutionize video gaming. It will make it's mark but the hype is too great for it to measure up to. I don't care how many 9's or 10's it gets, in the end there will be a feeling that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be.

To me a ten is a classic game that no matter how old it gets it still has a charm. A game that is so amazing you still think it's the best game or one of the best games you ever played. A game that has an amazing story,amazing soundtrack,and amazing gameplay for its times that really either changed the genre or showed what the genre should be like. Pretty much the best of its genre for that time.
Any Cod not made by IW is garbage, generally speaking any game not made by the original dev sucks unless development changed hands permanently. Left for Dead WoW Portal Anything made by Valve that is not Half Life i think is overrated(but I don't think they are bad or anything.) More, but I can't think of them right now.
MGS 4 I stand by as well, GTA 4 I say deserves what it got, and Uncharted a 9/10 would not hurt., but nothing higher. WaW has 1/10 written over it more times then 1.

CoD4 in WWII, did I cover eveything? I hate CoD with a passion now. Loved it back in the early days of it, but it's just become the Madden of FPS games :(. Also, oh man do I not think MGS4 is overrated. /not sarcasm at all, seriously though... it's not. It clearly seems like I'm being sarcastic, but I'm not.

My absolutely most overrated game:
GTA4, deserved an 8 IMO
Fallout 3: Awesome game, but 200 hours of gametime? That's bull----, I have in 35 hours: Completed all achievements on max difficulty (which includes: completing ALL main, side and DLC quests and collecting all collectibles). People who say that "they've only scratched the surface after 30 hours" either; don't realize how far they're into the game, are extremely slow or are just lying about their played time.
Hey as long as you only play IW made Cods it's still good, it's kind of like the people that play non Monolith FEAR games. There are a lot of non achievement quests, if you play for achievements and think the game is over with no achievements left, please stop playing games.
Personally, I think Killzone 2 is overrated. I've played both the beta (multiplayer) and the demo (single campaign) and I can see many gamers being disapointed when the game is released. The game is beautiful but for me, the magic ends there. I think it's just a painfully ordinary shooter.

umm gameplay is the same but only for one reason; because it works, and works well. No FPS has better gameplay mechanics than call of duty, no game has more weapons than cod (historically accurate also), and nazi zombies? need i say more?
you think cod5 and mgs4 are overrated? they are the 2 best games on the ps3.

Well, no matter what, they planned to end the MGS4 series, so they obviously wrapped it up with a fourth one. And if you played them all (like I did), then you would most likely enjoy it more than others that only played that game alone. I think that deserved every award it got.
So other series, Halo, GTA4, or COD, they can just keep making them endlessly with some extra weapons or environments, when really it's the same concept.

What are you talking about. there are a lot of shooters out there way better than call of duty. In call of duty, your crosshairs will be on someone and it won't even be hitting them. Now that is bull crap. So the gameplay is not that great.
