Online shooter for ps3?

Please recommend an online shooter for the ps3. I see the recent cod and battlefield games are getting poor reviews. Should I just buy last years game?

Honestly I would say get battlefield 4 if you owned a ps4 but if you have a ps3 ur best bet is to get Battlefield 3 premium edition with all the maps. Pretty cheap and tons of people still play.

I think your best bet would be Killzone 3 if you want a ps3 exclusive.

Crysis 3 is a recent game, may wanna look into that too.

Lot of the shooters that came out in previous years' online communities are dead as they have aged quite a lot like Killzone 2 & 3. But I know battlefield definitely still has a strong community and I'm pretty sure people still play uncharted 3's multiplayer as well.

You got loads of games, you could go the Battlefield 3 or 4 route, or try out Crysis 3. You could also try Killzone or other ones aswell like COD

Believe it or not, a ton of people are still playing COD: Black Ops for the PS3, I still do.

I feel like rebuying that game just for zombie mode.

Zombie mode was a lot of fun, even for an old guy like me....Zombie mode in Black Ops II isn't bad either.

Dead Nation is pretty sweet too.

Killzone 3 is still a very good online shooter game

I don't know if it's still active, as I have not played it in months, but Killzone 3 is a great online shooter.

Army of Two: Devils Cartel

Splinter Cell: Blacklist

Those online communities are still HIGHLY active.

Crysis 3 (They sold it on PSN the other week for $5. Not sure what it is now. You can go invisible and use a bow which is fun)

Uncharted 2 (Still has a pretty good amount of people that play, but they mostly play The Lab mode from what I've noticed)

Uncharted 3 (Not FP, but still a fun shooter. Multiplayer is free, but if you buy the game, I think it's got a few perks)

MAG (You can still get in games, but it takes awhile, but then again, I've had it for years and it's always taken awhile)

CoD Black Ops (Seems to have a pretty good amount playing it still. I get in games instantly usually)

CoD Ghosts (I read bad reviews on it, but I went ahead and took a chance by snipe bidding on ebay for a copy for $15-$20 and really enjoy it)

I thought they closed the MAG servers down?

@MarcRecon: They have by now, because the last time i tried was about a month and a half ago and it got me to where you could select the game mode but it just sat there like it always did, and i just got out of it after a few minutes.
