Official Resistance 2 Gamespot Review Thread (Review Finally Up!!!)

In case you haven't heard, it's a 9.0 = AAA!!!

The Good

• Fantastic eight-player cooperative mode
• Large, vividly detailed environments
• Smart, tough enemies and huge, huge bosses
• Lag-free online matches with up to 60 players
• Varied and powerful weapons.

The Bad

• Weak story with uninteresting characters.

This is definitely one of their better scores and summaries in my opinion. A 9.0 is fair and I can agree with that after playing most of the campaign myself - the story isn't as fleshed out as the first game becuase of the lack of a narrator. Also, they definitely focused on all the major aspects of the game in both "The Good" and "The Bad" and gave it the appropriate emblems - I can't think of anything that's missing from either section.

Now excuse me while I read the text review and watch the video review.

BTW, for those who haven't got a chance to play it, resistance 1 can be bought for $20 shipped from amazon. That is probably the best value I have seen on a ps3 game.

Also, can't wait for R2, I think GS will give it a 9.0.

When you say 'unbiased' review, do you mean a review that fits your bias?:)
