i was looking into getting a 2nd controller for my gf so we could play MotorStorm2 and LBP when it comes out together, and i was wondering, are the cheaper controllers that arent sony brand just as good as a sony brand one? and do they have the Sixaxis Feature in it? thanks guys

There are certainly aftermarket controllers - see bestbuy or gamestop - and they probably work fine. I don't know their prices, but the Sony controllers (imo) are probably a better quality..

there are other ones, dunno about sixaxis but they require batteries

Get the SONY in the long run you'll probably end up buying those other guys twice.

3rd party controllers are utter crap. It justifies the "get what you pay for" phrase. I learned that the hard way in the 90's. They're going to break down on you in 2 to 3 weeks or so anyways, then you're stuck buying another which would equal (or cost more) to the price of a Sony Sixaxis controller. In my opinion, pay the extra 10 bucks for the Sony controller.
