New extended FFXIII and FFvsXIII trailers

I am very impressed and stunned! I think my love for JRPG's have returned. Actually, my love for Final Fantasy has returned. Both are amazing but the Versus trailer just wowed me on the dark atmosphere....SWEET!

Can anyone tell me, I know SquareEnix are the best when it comes to CGI but what about the gameplay? I can't tell but it almost looks like the CGI version but like I said, I can't tell. Anyone willing to clarify this for me?

OMG I JUST REALISED, Tetsuya Nomura was talking about making the battles Advent Children-like - Slashing through buildings, running up them, all these flips n stuff..

As for Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Nomura aims to create previously unseen "tricky" battle scenes, reminiscent of Square Enix's popular CG movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

BOTH of these trailers showed that off! :shock: the unnamed charcter in versus xiii penetrated that soldier with his sword all the way through, blood and everything!!

Lightning did all these dives and flips while attacking, followed by casting fire i think, then the unnamed dude, codename Mr. 33cm came in and shot everyone (for a sec i thought he was Cloud on Fenrir lol)

I really think XIII Compilation has true potential to become this Generations VII :D Who agrees?

Yeah he did not have that big sword on him, but he was riding that bike.

Versus looks cool to, it is more dark than 13.

Both trailers look amazing!! The waiting is going to kill me, but I must endure!

Wow! A great reason to have a PS3.

However I got a feeling that this game will be an early to mid 2009 release.

Hope I am wrong.
