I've been looking at what best buy has and they have such a wide variety and I can't really tell whether in my case I'm even going to be able to tell a difference between say a $30 headset and a $70 one.
Any input would be great.

i have no idea about headsets but i'd like some info too....i have owned one for a while now but volume is so damn soft...it's hard as to hear people....(the volume is on 5 (highest) on the ps3) and i put it right up on the headset itself....the volume is WAY below what i would hear on the phone.....
the headset had ps3 on the packaging and everything...is the volume low for everyone or what??...probably just got a dudd one but i dunno

I have a similar problem. I'm using a Sony Ericsson headset, the volume is set to 5 but I have to yell to be heard. But the same headset works fine with my phone.
I bought a Motorola bluetooth headset and it kept freezing up my PS3, so I returned it and got a more expensive Motorola and that one kept cutting out. Decided to go with Plantronics and boy am I glad I did. I have 3 of them now, and all 3 work perfectly with my PS3. I can hear everyone fine, they can hear me, and best of all...they don't cut out. So my advice, if it is worth anything, is to go with Plantronics. Everyone I have talked to that has that brand has been satisfied.

Ok. Plantronics definitely sounds like the way to go It seems , unless one of the other brands has some sort of awesome special on.
Also I was wondering if buying warhawk with the headset for like 40 bucks made any sense at all?......that headset is pretty good right?

does anybody else have the problem that hearing in the headset is FAR harder to hear than say a phone?
