MGS4 Why do gekko bleed WTF

I saw this on some other gaming site is this dude serious what did he think those legs were made of scaffolding?

Im not going to say why... please restore my faith to MGS lore that the gamers are smart enough to play it...I know gamespot guys are!!

Are we sure it is even blood. I mean maybe it is a lubricant like transmission fluid or something.

I always figured Ray, appearing more robotic, was leaking hydraulic fluid, you can imagine how much it would take to power those legs, haha. But I think of the geckos as having biomechanical legs. They move very organically and you can see the muscles in them...but they don't have bones...that wouldn't make technical sense when they have the synthetic structuring that they do. Of course, this thread is completely pointless; it's kind of likedebating that a Delorian doesn't travel through time when it hits 88mph.

By definition anything organic is most likely moist. And anything moist means there's at least some volume of liquid inside it. The fluid in the gekkos might not be exactly blood, could be anything else, like some guy said it could be oil.

And also any complex machines have to have some kind of fluid in it. Its not mandatory but so happens to require it so they'll run. You could also argue a computer has "blood" because it streams data constantly everywhere and that the data would be the "blood". The human body itself has more than one type of fluid in it. All in all, there's a lot of ways you could argue this.

also of topic but sorta similar.... when the gekkos stand straght up and shake and a greenish fluid sprays out its lactic acid from the muscles

Not sure why, but things like this, somehow, make me like MGS even more...
