MGS4 - Should I get it?

I have not kept up with the entire MGS series unfortunatly. Will I still be able to play MGS4 and have fun or have I missed too much story?

Yes it does an excellent job of filling you in. Also the retrospective on www.gametrailers.com does a great job of giving you the back story.

Why can't anyone use the MGS4 sticky? The mods' mouse hands must be sore from locking so many useless threads.

people dont use the stickies because 99 percent of the time their questions are ignored in the giganto threads they become. and he is asking because the forum is here for that. if you don't feel like answering his question then it is useless to even post here.
