I had my horizontal the first week or so, but now it is vertical^^... i think its cooler and it doesnt collect as much dust as it did while it were horizontal.    I have it in a secure place so there is no way it could fall:)

I don't have a very secure place for it and I'm paranoid so mine is laying down. Though my ps2 stands up. When I finally move the ps3 to the TV that now has the ps2 I may stand er up.

All of my systems are horizontal. Gravity worries me.

Mine is vertical. It tends to run cooler this way and that is important because I never shut the system off.

Whichever position you choose stick with it .

Switching between the two can screw up the disc drive .

Mine is laying down .

360s look best vertical

ps3s look best horizontal

putting your 360 vertical is asking for trouble, it scratches disks standing up.

my ps3 is horizontal because I get more signal strength that way for some reason

Doesn't it ruin the discs with laser rims having it vertical? I was advised to have mine constantly flat as the shop said they had cases of this before.

Same here. My PS3 is horizontal but my wii is vertical. I think that's why I get a disc read error sometimes.
