I press each buttons and see what the character does. :)

That's what you read the manual for... yeah I don't read it either. It's according what kind of game it is. I try to see how the a.i. responds to what I do to see what I can get away with.The_profeshenal
I read the manual after the first time I play the game. I want to figure things out myself. :)
I never read the manual either, pretty much just jump into the game and usually pick it up quite quickly!
If its a racing game I usually go onto quick race to see how it plays!
read the manual WTF... they shouldnt bother inlcuding manuals anymore... save some paper and include it the game.\
back on topic, press buttons, and explore, i never read the manual. matter of fact, it took me until after i finished ninja gaiden on xbox to figure out how to use the nippon... haha
Before i even think about playing it, I have to open the game before I get home from the store from which I purchased it. If I dont take the plastic off the game, open it and take the manual out before I get home, its bad luck. Dont ask me why, but my friend and I have been doing since we were kids, and the few times where we didnt open the game, something terrible happened, like it got scratched or the console froze.
However, once I am home, with my open game, I pop that baby in and just go.
Just get a general feeling for the character and what effect the buttons have. Normally though, each game has alot in common with others ive played so I can just jump right in.
But before I even get to that point, I check the options. Maybe theres something important... There never is, but oh well.
I go through all of the menus. Don't ask why.StargamerXok for a minute i thought i was the only one
