Yeeeessssssssssss.

It looks so graaaaaaand.

Hardcore mode sounds AWESOME. Stimpacks heal over time and you have to eat, drink and visit the doctor regularly to stay alive. Sahweeeeeeet.

I've seen a first look from a magazine I got a month ago. Hardcore mode does look pretty awesome though. I'm glad ammo actually adds weight now.

Definitely getting it. Also, I heard in Hardcore mode that ammo will have weight as well. It won't be like Fallout 3 where you can have 10k rounds in a gun

Edit: Well, LightR already said the thing about ammo having weight lol. Oh well

This, Red Dead, and probably Madden (just to play with my irl friend) will be awesome this year! Hopefully I can sell some of my old games and get GT5, or Crysis 2.

In hardcore mode is the starting difficulty normal?

I think they have the regular difficulties like Fallout 3 had and then you have the option to do hardcore mode

Forgot about MNR. And yeah, Hardcore mode looks really good. It should make for some great immersion, especially on the first playthrough. However, on replays I don't see myself wanting to unless I'm roleplaying.

Hardcore mode does sound interesting, but since everything isn't irradiated like in FO3 it will really only come down to I guess balancing your supplies against the next opportunity to restock. Ammo adding weight is a bit overkill.

They didn't even bother to improve the game engine after two years? Dissapointing, to say the least. Hopefully the gameplay will be improved to a great degree

Actually, the new dev team has been working pretty hard to make tons of improvements to the gameplay and overall integrity of the entire engine. I've been reading a lot of different articles on this game and the developers keep basically saying how horrible the last game's shooting elements were and how qlitchy it was and that they've made tons of improvements to make the game play as shooter fans would expect it to. I've got high hopes for this one! Honestly, though, I loved the last one so much I wouldn't have been too upset if they left it all exactly the same. I'm really looking forward to the rest of this year. Tons of great games on the way...

Yeah, I'll probably be getting that one. I think I may just get the GOTY edition and this time fully complete it. I won't be surprised if we don't get the DLC no time soon :P

Is it highly likely the worst version will be for the PS3? like F03?

Well, Obsidian is making it and not Bethesda. So maybe it will be a good version

I hope the combat is better. If you weren't using VATS system it would take forever to kill someone.

You could kill everything from a Super Mutant to Ghouls in a couple of seconds outside of VATS. Providing you weren't using a peashooter. The only thing that was tough to kill outside of VATS were the mutant crabs(forgot what they were called) but an explosive would put them down easily.

Looks promising. Although I kind of wanted to see a new engine and graphics (although many would disagree, graphics somewhat like borderlands could be cool), Fallout 3 was a great game, and I'm sure New Vegas will be no different. Hardcore mode looks like a great addition, hope I can beat the game on it
