Yea I talked shit about it at first, but one day with it and it reminds me of my ps1 and ps2. My main criticisms was that the exclusives need to start coming out. But besides that it's perfect.

Yes PlayStation 4 is my favorite out of the 8th Gen of systems. I also have the Xbox one and Wii U. PS4 is my most used console out of the 3. Sony has done a great job this time. After the horrid PS3 launch. Sony has done almost everything right with PS4.
13.5 million Systems sold in the first year shows that Sony is about games and is the best choice to for gaming in the 8th generation.
This console has some bizarre and awful problems with download speeds and connecting to the internet...I guess that's just bad luck. I've had one almost a week and everything else about it barring battery life is great so far.
The lack of games talk on internet forums is a little amusing. This is the most immediately and ridiculously backlogged I've ever been with a new console.
I still have my PS3 hooked up but am using it less and the PS4 more finally after a year where I still used my PS3 the most. But the PS4 is awesome, have no regrets aside from that whole Rise of the Tomb Raider thing that made me mad and sad.
I must say I am having a really great time with PS4. I had a blast playing Destiny (Got the white PS3 Destiny Bundle) and then I moved on to Dynasty Warriors 8 Complete Edition which was awesome. I then got The Last of Us Remastered (which I haven't on PS4 yet, but it was awesome on PS3), Killzone Shadow Fall and then last, but not least Infamous Second Son. I will probably get Wolfenstein the New Order and Samurai Warriors 4 for Christmas, but 2015 will be amazing.
I'm getting good use out of it thus far. Still waiting to be truly blown away by a game, but I've only had the thing for a few months. Second Son, Watch Dogs, and Metro 2033 Redux have all been very solid games. I have pretty high hopes for some of 2015's games and I still have yet to play some games already released like Far Cry 3, but it looks like I'll be busy with stuff to play just as I was with the PS3 for a long time.
I love my PS4. I was disappointed when I could not get one around release date a year ago but in the end it all worked out because the games that I have been playing on it recently didn't come out till later in 2014. I am really happy with it so far and cannot wait for 2015 and the games that are suppose to be releasing then.

same here, I skipped the release version because there wasn't much on either console for launch that I liked. Really can't wait for the 2015 releases.
Its a great console, they just need to fix slow msg loading and release the games. Like all PS consoles, the first years are painful, but actually it hasnt been that bad. I actually enjoyed Killzone SF even though its no match to KZ2, and recently i been playing PES15 a lot. But yeh... its time for the real big boys next year, UC4, MGSV, new IPs.. Bloodborne, Horizen.
I am a very proud owner of the console even though I still play my PS3 alot I do like the PS4 alot. PS Plus sweetens the deal and the games are just around the corner like Batman,Uncharted,The Order,MGS5 and a few more.
i got the xbox one at first and i had a couple solid games but i didn't have any fun halo 5 blows and i feel like bo3 is kind of fun but not for me but my ps4 i can't stop playing last of us and fifa 16. also i want jak and daxter and rachet n clank idk man ps4 is blowing my mind lets go
it's aight. Bloodborne was fun. I guess I might get Disgaea 5 at some point (although I should probably put it back in the box until then so it stops collecting dust).
So far, games wise, i think it's better than the xbox (variety). However, the console is lacking massively compared to the xbox functionality wise. (voice commands integration with TV and devices)
Had mine for just over 9 months, its the best console I've ever used. I was mainly a PC gamer, but reached a point where I just simply wanted to enjoy playing games without complications and always feeling like I had to upgrade my hardware. Plus, most of my friends are on PS4 and I wanted to chat and game with them. I will go as far as saying that purchasing a PS4 has reignited my love for video games.
Not really. Have had an Xbox one for nearly two years, got my ps4 about four months ago.
I rarely use it. Controller is worse with the stick positioning, batteries go flat fast, the games that I have for both systems don't seem any better on ps4, the driving games suck there are no real exclusives and the PS store is a piece of crap with low res videos (if any) a goofy menu and the free games are not even released for January yet. I honestly wish I'd saved my money and just had the Xbox one only. I liked the ps3, fired it up the other day and it still felt higher quality than the ps4, and the graphics aren't a huge step forward.
@sennexer: I know right. The low res videos are a joke. Maybe I was spoiled by the xbox but having low res videos shouldn't even be a thing anymore. Its embarrassing. I thought it had something to do with my connection.
@super_dabber: how? I have the opposite opinion, like everything about Xbox more and games I have for both look the same. Xbox seems to have better 60fps games Forza Halo vs Driveclub and killzone, makes them look juddery and clunky.
