I've had mine for less than a week and has already froze twice. I had to turn the console off and on to remedy the problem.

Mine Has Froze Twice ...  BUT IT WAS ONLINE....playing resistance ... So I Doubt It Was My PS3 ... I'd Say It Was The Online Froze.... But ItDid Freeze The Whole System I Had To Reset It From The Console ..

i been playin ps1 games ps2 games and ps3 games and dvds, it never not once(knock on wood) froze on me, it was smooth works great

I've had mine for 3 weeks, no problems except sometimes it won't load PS2 games and I have to reset.

1 time so far and i had moine for over a month. I play it alot, everyday for atleast 4-6 hours, PS1, PS2, and PS3 games. It only froze on motorstorm demo

Mine has froze on me once eversince i got it, it was during a Cod3 online match...but that couldve been the server or something,so no biggie

I'm not even talking about online. Watching movies, particularly The Sopranos. The last disc I played froze 9 or 10 times over 3 episodes, but fortunately continued playing on its own after about 10 or 15 seconds. I think I'll take this as a sign and return it for a new one, since I did not get the extended warranty.

Its never froze for me. But I barely play it anyway due to school, and trying to pass my grade. And also I only have one real PS3 game that I actually play, and I barely like it at that. Need for Speed Carbon, is a pretty good game, but it gets boring after a while.

That's what I'm talking about, except my involved The Sopranos on Blu-Ray DVD. Anyone else have this series? It may be the format of the discs themselves, since I can only get 2-channel sound on each of the 4 discs. All other movies and games work in DTS or Dolby Digital 5.1.

This is all very interesting. I have a PS3 pre ordered for the UK launch next month, and have been wondering about any problems. I have a 360 and quite frankly it freezes constantly and is a crock of junk.

Most people seem to be having no problems, which is good news.
