i have too many regular dvds to throw money away on rebuilding my collection on blu-ray.xmitchconnorx
I keep and watch my extensive regular DVD collection on my regular DVD player and watch the blu-ray movies I buy on the PS3, so I have no need of re-building my DVD collection. I only buy movies on blu-ray that I don't already own on reg DVD.
It would be a massive expense to replace my 200+ reg DVD collection..couldn't see the sense in re-buying stuff I already have.
So far, on blu-ray I've got
Gods and Generals
The Invasion
Rescue Dawn:)

My methodology for buying Blu-rays is usually to go into Best Buy and see whats on sale. Almost all of those I got for 13-17 dollars each. If they have something on sale, and I like it, I buy it. If I already have it on dvd, I give the dvd to a friend or something.
I currently own 110 Bluray movies. But tomorrow is payday for I'll be picking up Across the Universe & the Brave One. Amazon.com often has 2 for 1 sales, and they almost always have a selection for $15-20. There are only a few I have on DVD that I purchased on Blu. Final Fantasy, because anything animated in 1080p is phenomenal and just makes you want to smoke another one. The spiderman trilogy, OMG the uncompressed audio is just sic! And the Harry Potter Box Set. When advent children comes out on Blu I read it will have extra scenes and added detail, so I'll have to get that too. For those that are curious, Transformers is available out of Germany on Blu, but I'm waiting for the NA release so I can get it with the PCM Audio in english. I have a 52" XBR Bravia with a 7.1 System ( Full Tower Speakers all around, and a Dual 10" Sub).... now I just need to get a 1080p Projector to do a 200" screen. Maybe next year when I've saved up some more money... .Peace._sephex_
Wow lol, way to plan ahead for the American recession coming up. With that money you could of got Africa out of dept.

Thank Dog I live in Canada.Dog? I guess thats ok since it doesnt interfere with one of the commandments about using the Lords name. So your Canadian to eh, thats good just assumed your American because everyone else seems to be it. Still you could of made Ethiopia one of the richest african nations with that money.

Would like to have more but the choice and price in ireland is ridiculous. The cheapest I can get one for is €28 which is around $45-$50.
But for a latest release like The Simpsons movie its €38 which is nearly $60-$70 not worth the money so I will wait for a price drop.
You Americans are lucky. But i'l be in Orlando FL in april and I am gonna fill my suitcase with games games games for all my systems.
Hell I got about 70-80 but a few of my favs are:
Die Hard Collection
Shooters
Four Brothers
Into The Blue
Spiderman Collection
Disturbia
And on and on and on
31 total individual movies so far.

holy sh**, bud I think your the reason bluray won lol.
I'm still waiting on my five free movies, and have a few more pre-ordered from Amazon...
After watching movies on Blu-Ray I have decided to dump my DVD collection and am in the process of replacing a lot of movies with there HD counterparts.
Is planet earth and 300 worth getting? I have been thinking about purchasing those two for a while now. The blurays i have are the 5 from the offer. I havent got any other ones. Alfred91
300 and Planet Earth are without a doubt my top two movies, 300 is an amazing movie, and Planet Earth is absolutely stunning at times, some scenes do not provide the best PQ but overall one of the best nature documentaries I have ever seen.
