As already stated, it depends on your internet connection but also the amount of traffic. I'll go out on a limb here and assume quite a few people are downloading this on day 1.
It's only 3gigs? That's how big RE4 was...Anywho that took me almost a day and I have really good internet. It seems to vary a lot with me though. I'm not sure if it's traffic or the wifi hardware in my PS3.
