How bad is the hacking in other games?

I am planning on buying a ps3 cheifly for FREE online multiplayer. Recently i have been reading about the secuirty hack and how modern warfare is unplayable online.

How bad is this problem. Are other games affected . Will sony be able to fix this in the near future or am i better of buying the an other console ?

I'll present you with facts here. Call Of Duty has been hackable since Call Of Duty 4. Long before any of this happened or picked up.

Activision and Infinity Ward are a joke. That's all there is to it. The game itself had no security to begin with. Hence, the problem today and how it was hit so bloody hard. That door has been open for years.
