For COD4's Single-Player,I would give it a 9..It was so addictive that I went a whole day playing the game till the end...the ending was so epic,I can't help but to shed a tear...as for MP,I'm so bad at it,it wasn't that addictive for me...I would give it a 6,but only because I suck..
the online always messing up every now and then really turns off the addictive of it. but i was like playing it for 2 weeks untill i said aw screw it ill wait for THIS patch
ive played online for 20 hours (it tells u) ..and i still think its AWESOME...although at this point i rarely play it like 3 hours in a row... so id give it an 8.5
i don't know why but i just don't like COD4 as much as everyone else. maybe's becuase i feed into all the hype and had too high expectations but i fell it's kinda a let down compared to cod2.
A definite 9.5 at first, and I have Uncharted and Creed just sitting there at the moment. That number decreases with each time I have a failed attempt to connect to a game, the host ending the game the moment they take a lead (which is a punk move), or my shots going right through dudes (latest problem).
I just bought Mass Effect and I'm borrowing Assassin's Creed from a friend, but I can't pull myself away from the CoD4 multiplayer. I'm kind of a completionist, and I've been trying to get all of the barracks challenges for all the weapons. Rest assured, it takes quite a while to do.
7... and thats ONLY because its such a pain to get into a room. that number would EASILY be a 10 if i didnt have so much time between matches to go through complete withdrawls and able to completely quit if i wanted to. it's just those darned relapses.....
gameplay itself is pretty good too though, but nothing really beats online with any game really. well, except COD 3 which i was not a fan of at all.
Never really liked the series until COD 4. It's incredible fast paced action with awesome set pieces. As for addictiveness well i suppose it's how much you like FPS games. One play through is enough for me so i'll give it a 5 but what an experience.
Between 8 and 9 for multiplayer. You have to have a headset to make it a lasting fun, PS3 players in my experience are always fun to talk to in games and it makes the strategy that much better.
Campaign is probably a 7, it's a good take on modern combat, they use some nifty environment effects. It falls short on length of story and how hard you feel the action hitting you, kinda feels too much like you're watching a battle from the other side of a bullet proof window.
