Hello!

I need some much needed advice on a capital decision in my life. I'll be highly obliged and thankful for any suggestion and help that anyone can offer.

I'm based in India and I'm a die hard PC Gamer for the past 12 years but now I'm utterly confused whether to go for a PS4 or continue with my PC Gaming RIG.

I've planned on upgrading / assembling this PC RIG...

CPU: AMD 8350 3.6 GHz AM3+ (AMD FX 8-Core Black Edition)

MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ ATX Motherboard

GRAPHICS CARD: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760 2 Gb Gddr5 Graphics Card

RAM: Corsair 8 GB DDR3 Ram CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10

CHASSIS: NZXT Phantom

MOUSE: LOGITECH G300 (owned)

HDD: SEAGATE 2 X 1TB (owned)

PSU: COOLER MASTER 460W (owned)

DISPLAY: SAMSUNG 20" LCD MONITOR (owned)

KEYBOARD: Dragon War GK-002 Dark Sector Professional USB 2.0 Keyboard

MOUSEPAD: Razer Goliathus 2013 Soft Gaming Mouse Mat

HEADSET: Logitech Gaming Headset G130

DVD BURNER: Asus DRW-24D3ST DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive

..or should I go for a PS4 500GB with an added Controller & the Motion Sense Camera & Charger Stand ?!

The expense for me here is almost the same. So, please advise which would be a better option to go with considering any added expenses to be incurred further.
Thank you !!

I'd post this is general games or system wars.. Doesn't belong in the Sony forum.

Though I will say, both is the best answer. ;)

Well, there are many more games on PC as well as being able to play your older games at higher quality. PS4 has some good exclusives and some great ones coming though.

You probably know all the arguments for and against so I'll just say my decision, which was to get both. I play exclusives and multiplayer games on PS4 and play everything else on PC.

PC is a necessity if you love games, PS4 is more of a luxury (though will be less luxurious than your PC)

If I could Give my 2 cents If it was me I would save a bit of money on the Mobo and Cpu and go better than a gtx 760 2gb for example a 970 chipset and a 8320 would save you enough to throw in a new GtX 970 4GB. This system would crush the 8350 990fx gtx 760 for gaming and would be pretty close for everyday mutitasking and stuff also. The only downfall is most don't support SLI but not really much of a downfall cause 1 gtx 970 is actually more powerful than two gtx 760's in SLI in 90% of games. Even an FX 6300 and a GTX 970 would smoke an FX 8350 and a GTX 760. Put your money where it counts trust me.

A die hard PC gamer and yet you're utterly confused as to which is the best choice? *scratches head*

I can't believe the stupidity in these forums sometimes.

More games to play on the PC. PS4 games are coming out slow for the moment. I am the opposite of you, I hate PC gaming, and love my console. But if your prefer the PC, there are far more games to play, and the Ps4 will be around in the future when prices drop, and the library is filled.

Lol, slow? Haven't seen a single reason yet to buy a ps4 (believe me, I'm looking for reason). Nothing available that I feel I need to have it. PC all the way. When a must have exclusive comes along, that may change things. Good advice though.

So are you saying that a PC gamer can't change over to consoles?
