Hey, Same here man! We're both Atari 2600 veterans! :D I kinda started with combat, and maybe Monkey Island on PC, i think those 2 are the oldest games i can think of.
I duck hunt was my first one. I was very young, but I still remember having a little plastic pistol and try to aim at flying ducks. I use to get so angry when the dog pops out and starts to laugh. ^_^

Space Invaders for me ... I do remember my brother having an old Pong game console, have no idea what brand/company it was. It had a toggle switch to chose from 3-4 different game modes I remember, man talk about old school!
Wow, memories. It was either Elevator Action, Frogger, Pac-Man, or Pitfall on the Atari 2600. Or maybe it was Space Invaders, Galaga, or PacMan in the Arcade.
My first game was sonic 1 on sega genesis and I'm now 22 years old. Still, the 1st game I really loved and that pushed me into video gaming was final fantasy 7 on ps1.
My first REAL game I Played was Resistance: FoM lol.... I'm 16 but I only began gaming when PS3 launched because my gf bought me 60GB one...I seriously never touched any game in my entire 16 years of living besides the day my gf got me the PS3.....
I know it's weird lol but it's true...I'm a busy busy athlete so I never really bothered with games...but now I play for about 2 hours or so a day....I love my PS3 :D
I think it was Sonic 3 for the Sega Genesis. played it for eons. can't find it though. hope I didn't sell the dang thing. then again I don't have a Genesis anymore and I do have a Saturn w/ Sonic Jam.
Tomb Raider (dont ask me which one) for the PS1, but if you are asking what the first game I enjoyed was than I would have to say Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee. Personally I think Oddworld was the best saga ever made!!!
