Do you miss PS 2 ?

I've a 40 g.b PS 3 and it has no backward compatibilty .

I sold my PS 2 after i bought my PS 3 as i haven't much space for two consoles near my T.V .

I wish i could playyy

MGS 1/ 2 / 3 , Resident Evil 4 , GTA San Andreas , Timesplitters , Black , Prince of persia , Final Fantasy ETC

I kinda miss PS 2 days ... was great fun too playing on PS 2 ya know ... PS 2 was a great console ;)

Thankfully they remade God Of War 1 & 2 on PS 3 ... Hope they remake each and every PS 2 classics on PS 3 :)

Do I miss my PS2? No. Because I still play it regularly. My launch fatty started dying about 6 months ago, and I didn't even hesitate to buy a Slim. It's still an excellent system that sports the greatest library of all time. Go buy as PS2 Slim, bro. $99.99 at any Walmart/Best Buy/etc.

Nope, I still play my PS2 just about every day. Luckily I've got an extra 1.5"of space on my shelf, so I've got room for a PS2 stood on end. :D

I've had mine since launch so no. Its still working fine!

Not really. When my 60GB still worked I almost never played PS2 games. This gen is on track to beat last gen for me.Floppy_Jim

True, the PS3's library is improving rapidly, but that doesn't make the PS2 gen obsolete. Hell, I still regularly play NES/SNES/PS1/N64 games.

of course i miss it, everytime i think about kingdom hearts or FFX i start to question why i bought a PS3 when i knew there was no reverse compatability...i would actually be willing to to pay 500$ again for a backward compatable PS3

I miss the days of playing are 51 online with my clan. never gonna forget those days. KA n 52k i think were the names. N also the original killzone.

I have a 60gb PS3 so I can play my PS2 games whenever I want.

As far as missing the PS2 era, no, I don't. Other than the GTA games and a handful of others, the last generation was one of if not my least favorite generations ever.

I'm already happier with the PS3 and its library than I was with the entire past generation of consoles combined.

I miss it alot.

I remember playing classis(Well at least too me) Like Guitar Hero 2(When Playing a plastic instrument was fun), Gta Sa, The Simpsons Hit and Run,The Warriors, and many More.

I don't miss my ps2 at all becuase I still have it. I have tons of games for my phat ps2 that I have yet to complete so it's all good, lol.:D

No, I don't. I have a 60GB PS3 which plays all my PS2 games, and I also have a PS2 slim. I'm covered, baby.

if anything, just for MGS3, Burnout 3 and maybe DMC3

Topics like this seem to come up quite a few times - "I miss (such and such) console" "Do you miss this console?"

My question, when you started this topic, were you referring to the system itself, the time period from when it was brand-new, or did you sort-of mean last-gen in general?

Personally I can understand missing a console if it got sold or replaced by one from a newer generation, but in this age of "instant gratification" there are a myriad of ways to get anything you want quickly and conveniently without much of a hassle. At the same time, I still have (or recently reacquired) a lot of the consoles I had when they were new, so I don't really miss much.

If playing God of War is really the main reason you miss your particular PS2 system, I provided you a few options in my last post.

With my complete satisfaction with the PS3, NO... i don't miss my PS2... but i will always remember the great games and the good times... and so as the games and other platforms... i wouldn't appreciate what i have now that much if i haven't got through with them. 8)

No. I miss PS2 best games, like: Jak and Dexter series; MGS series; Sly Raccon series and so many more classics.

Do I miss it? Yes- mainly because my slim was jacked from my room a few months ago! The thieving little grubbers...

The other thing I miss about PS2 gaming was the fact that it was new and still had something of a nostalgia factor to it (memory cards, corded controllers, games that didn't suck so bad as many do today it seems).

yea i do miss it. it had a great libray. i just wish i had a bc ps3 cuz then i wud prly beable to finsh dq8. witch btw is prly one of my avortie sps2 games.
