Okay, so yeah I know... Idiot question right? I was just given a Game voucher today and am wondering what I should do with it....

I've been following GT5 for ages and anticipated it massively, was let down by score but still overall impressed. GoW3 I didn't really follow all that much and it only started to interest me more recently.

I JUST DON'T KNOW PEOPLE...

ADVISE ME? If there's another game that I should definitely be getting over those two, shout at me as well...

Havent Played GT5, but God of War 3 was epic! You wont be dissapointed. Probably much more "game time" out of gran truismo though. (if driving games are your thing)

GT5 is good, never played GoW3 but if you're a graphics enthusiast and enjoy very good styling then GoW3 would be a good choice, if you like carsd and want to test out your everyday cars to see how they go then GT5 is amazing, i like testing cars i see on the road or even my own car just to see how it compares to a race car.

It depends on what you're into, either driving games or fast-paced action games. I'd recommend God of War III though.

Did you play either GoW I or II? If so I think you'd be interested to see how the story ends. If not it'll still be good but you may not be as vested. You'll find more replay with GT5.

GoW3 is an average action-adventure and lasts ten hours. Gran Turismo will last any normal person months. oh and thats not even talking about online multiplayer!!!

something you should know about GOW3 that i wish i did is that its REALLY short, like 11 hours short and the reply value is minimal i have never played a second run through since buying it about a year ago. By no means is this a jab at GOW3 but something that you should be aware of (btw i LOVED gow3 but 10 hours? come on!)

I find it interesting that there are always posts with someone asking about a choice between two games that are so dramatically different. What's to compare to make a choice here? Lol, anyways.....I'll vote for GT5, why not.

now i know that this thread is guna be FULL of people trolling about how GT5 was delayed for soooo long but its DEFINATELY worth the wait its the best racing game so far and will remain so for a LONG time, definately get GT5 will last MUCH longer than GOW3 i played it,took me 6 hours to finish campaign, then took AGES completing the impossible Challenges Of Olympus, and now i;m bored. i hate GT5 and the word boredom hasnt even crossed my mind. DEFINATELY GET GT5 GOW3 is a good game but you'll get bored of it WAAY quicker than GT5

IMO i would go with GT5, as people have said before i think it will last you longer in gameplay wise.. it will suck you in getting cars and doing them up, along with online races to

GoW3 is great but you can rent (or borrow) it and see most of what it has to offer.

But I guess thats just my opinion i guess..

This is really a matter of personal preference. GT5 is getting a lot of negativity because it IS underwhelming for a game that took several years and 60 million dollars to make. But if you REALLY loved past GT games and you were anticipating it, that might be the game for you. GoW3 is a great game. But if you're more into racing sims than button mashing action games then GT5 is a better choice. Personally, I'd rather have GoW3. But I will tell you this. GoW3 is very, very short. GT5 will keep you entertained a lot longer.

Since GOW3 has no replay value whatsoever... like none at all. I'd strongly recommend Gran Turismo which I'm loving. Personally I thought GOW3 was pretty cool, but after I finished it I didn't want to play it again since I already knew how the story went. Gran Turismo has tons of races... which you can play over and over be it for money or level grinding, or if you're saving to buy the car of your dreams. These are all valid points to consider when making your decision.

God of War 3 is cheaper, so if you use a voucher for that game you're kind of wasting it (I paid $20 new for my copy a few months back). Having said that, GoW3 is a better game than GT5, unless you hate yourself.

I vote for GT5 for replay value alone. I beat god of war a few times and it was about 20-24 hrs worth of value. I have played estimated 50 hours of GT5 and have barely scratched the surface. I sold GoW3 along time ago. Now don't get me wrong, I love GoW3 and think you should get both games. However, from a replay perspective I give it to GT5.

Honestly, if you have a voucher for a free game then you should watch videos and decide for yourself ... I mean YOU are the one playing it and YOU are the one who decides if it's good or not ...

I have had both and I sold GT5 and I kept GOW3 ... GT5's graphics aren't that great and the cars are horrible - 200 premium and the other 800 look like PS2 cars (The Premium cars don't even look that great) the shadow of the vehicle is choppy and if you do the IN-DASH view during rain or snow, it looks like a bird is crapping on you constantly ... it's WHITE blotch after white blotch ... horrible

Of course, it depends on what you look for in a game. GT5 is an epic game with great graphics and replay options. Read the reviews for both games and fing what you think is best for you. LOOK AT THE EMBLEMS, they have really helped me pick a game!

IMO, GOW3 is the best action/adventure game out there. It's a must play, but it has not a replay value. Also, I don't like racing games so I don't know about GT5. Choose the category you are more into.
