Did you meet any resistance from the store employee when you bought your PS3?

If so, what's the stupidest argument they gave you?

Mine said that MGS4 was going to 360. When i asked him who said that, eh replied "Everybody":roll:

When I bought my 20gb in December at EB games, the store manager tried to tell me that the PS3 had only a 30 day warranty and tried to sell me an instore warranty. I was lucky that day because there was a Sony rep. there at the store. SHe was right behind me and quickly chimed in stating the PS3 had a one YEAR Warranty. THe manager quickly laughed in embarassment and said "so you must be the Sony rep I am supposed to meet today". Then she gave me a Play Beyond bumper sticker, lol.

Needless to say I didnt get the extended seeing as they would run at the same time.

umm....there is no such thing as a 40GB PS3....

I got my PS3 at Best Buy and the guy asked me if I was sure. He told me PS3s have (a high percent he said which I forgot) failure rate and that the store was getting PS3 returns everyday.

My PS3 works fine ever since I bought it. I never have a single problem with it, not even freezes.

back in december when i got my ps3 i walked into the gamestop near my house and the dude was playing the Wii demo. i had called this guy earlier and he held a 60gb ps3 for me and could sense my excitement over my purchase (sense at the time ps3s were inshort supply). all he said was "Enjoy your new toy!" this gamestop is awesome and always has stuff in stock, the other one in town and the Gamecrazy are a different story all together.......

i got mine at walmart and no problems what so ever. i rather do my game shopping at wall mart where the employees don't give a crap than puttin up with some stupid fanboy crap at eb games or gamestop.JaySin8706

amen. i have never been met with any problems at Target or Walmart. Except this one snotty chick at Target asked for my ID when i bought GOW2.......im 24 for God's sake!

zing! i didnt get any resistance at all either, i even bought mine at EB games. i think they were happy to sell off their last ps3 before christmas.

wow. It must have been tierh Gamestops or just that one guy (though the other cashier kept agreeing with my cashier).

I'll try to go to a different store to pick up more games.

bought mine online. cuts out a lot of hassle. maybe some fanboy who works from amazon was thinking it or saying it as they dispatched the orders on march 27th, but hey, i didn't have to listen to it.VampiraJen

No problems with people at Best Buy bad mouthing the Ps3 when I bought it, but the dumb cashier scanned Resistance Fall of Man twice and that was the only game I got. I got a free 10 dollar gift card for his stupid mistake :lol:

When I bought mine at ebgames the clerk asked me if I knew that I could get like 3 Wii's for the same price!!! I told him that I had a gamecube already and wasn't interested in a new white one. That shut him up pretty quick:PBlommen

I bought mine in december and i had some problems with a clerk at gamestop. I told him i wanted a ps3 and resistence and he asked me 3 times whether i wouldn't want a 360 instead trying to cite better games out at the time and saying that ps3 was going to have a price drop in 6 months. my mom was with me and tried to stop me from getting it, but i explained her about it and got help from another clerk who owned one. Still, i am pretty disgusted by the 360 fanboyism at gamestop.s Shaqneel

thats hilarious i wonder if they gret commision cause that would be EXTREMEME fanboyism. anyway i went to circuit city the lady didnt see at all astonished a 14 year old was taking money out of the can watches come in and laying it out and buying a ps3. then i went to best buy for resistence and had to wait for my grand ma to buy it. and then anotheer best buy for another controller.
