ummmm no. simply put they are FOCUSING on making the pc game...and are currently working on porting the cryengine 2 to ps3. after that they dont know whether they will put crysis or a game around the same world on the system but they are definately thinking about it. similar to how they did for the 360

"or even the 360"??? the 360 is more like a PC then the PS3, and with crysis being so graphics card/DX10 intense, and the 360 having a more PC-like graphics card and being mostly DX10 enabled (it does some DX10 and some DX9)..... im pretty sure if there was a console that could handle a port of this game better, it would be the 360. not saying the PS3 cannot do it, im just saying a port to 360 would be easier to create, and in the end would probably run better due to the ease of coding the port.

"There is a plan to port the engine onto the ps3 and xbox 360" and obviously with the engine goes a game to showcase it...may not be the actual game crysis but will most likely be something of the sort like they did with 360

they have stated that the ps3 can, but the 360 cannot. this is why they are porting the cryengine2 to the ps3. but they have stated many times that they will most likely not remake crysis on the ps3, but a different game with the same engine.

it doesnt have dx, and i can say that because it makes your whole logic go out the window. the dev team said they can do it on the ps3 and they will make a ps3 game using the same engine. dx is in traditional cpus and gpu's and the like. the same effects can be reached on the cell and rsx with different approaches is what the devs seem to be saying. thats what they say. as long as they say it i will believe them, because they created the graphics and physics engine, and they know how to make it do what they wnt to do-dx10 or whatever the cell and rsx equivalent would be.

DX is nto the only thing available. obviously they couldnt use dx cus ms developed that so sony went with opengl which games do actually support
