Why should this affect our enjoyment with the handheld?
I dont read reviews anyway, the only thing i use game sites for is to keep track on upcoming releases, A gameplay video tells me more on wether i will like a game than any review.
Who can give up on the psp..it has been written off time and time again, and keeps coming back. The upcoming games are excellent...The only problem with the PSP is it seems the games come out in groups......They will have a group of excecellent games come out at once then nothing then a bunch of games again...
I'm not giving up. Actually this break from releases is giving me time to catch up on the older titles! So many good ones.... But yea it does seem that gamespot has been a bit slow on the psp page.

well sometimes gameplay videos are misleading. U gotta use gameplay videos, reviews, AND demos or renting (if possible) to determine if a game is good nowadays. Just 1 or none is wasting your money most of the time.
Jesus christ, doesn't ANYONE look at games coming next year? With a line up like that, why would ANYONE give up on the PSP?
The reason there aren't any new reviews is because nothing noteable (besides Star Ocean) has been released until quite sometime.

Personally i havent given up on psp, but i'm discouraged by the lack of new games since earlier this year. They really seem to be neglecting it. but I know there are quite a few games I havent played yet, so I am not worrying about it now.

I agree that should be the case but for some reason i have been right on the mark so far. last gen i only made 3 bad purchases out of over 40 games and those 3 were all based on the hype on these forums hype wich learned me to ignore the crowd. Well it helps knowing the backlog and history of the diverent developers afcourse but so far i have yet to fire a blank from my own

On-topic. NO! I'm not giving up on the PSP. At least not until after Resistance: Retribution, FFXIII Agito, and Parasite Eve come out and I've played them to death. :)
Forget gamespot, and g4, the only thing that matters is the gamers and players... and no I have not and never will give up on the psp, it has been and still is my favorite portable gaming device, I would not give up my psp for every nintendo game console released since the n64 (seriously I wouldn't I would just get rid of them all over again) because its one console that get new features added to it for practically FREE, and its an entire media player on top of a great gaming device
I've noticed this trend in gamespot lately myself. The PSP page is rarely updated and new games go unreviewed for days after their release while a number of console games are reviewed in advance of release. I believe that this is gamespots current weakness they are just focusing on what is the absolutly most popular thing of the moment, they dont give anything else a chance. Everything is remakes and sequels and anything that is not in the spotlight is brushed under the rug. The psp has plenty of worth for a gamer on the go who cannot spend hours in front of a console (Some gamers have real jobs with real lives) and it would be nice if I could go on gamespot for a review on a handheld game that I may be interested in buying. And I cant imagine I am the only one who is anticipating some of the handheld releases that are coming up.
The PSP is an awsome. I can put all of my music on it, I can put my DVD's onto it and watch movies. Oh yea, it can play games too. Great current games like GoW and future games like Kingdom Hearts, Phantasy Star Portable, 2 Final Fantasy games, and (probably in 2010 HOPEFULLY!!!) Gran Turismo. The addition of the Playstation Store just adds to the PSP's allure. Believe me you pestimistic critics, the best of the PSP is coming.
By the way, I agree with the above post. I too am a gamer with a real life (stocker at a grocery store), with a real life (freshman in college). I don't have 15 hours a day to devote to playing video games non-stop. The PSP is great for me on the go.
Pictures = Cool different wallpapers Music = Sweeeet my own little MP3 Videos = Damn that game looks tight Games = Final Fantasy 1 and 2 are ADDICTING!!!! Internet = Remote Play (FFVII/VIII/IX) (MGS) (Parasite Eve 1/2) (Dino Crisis 1/2) on the GO!!!!!! ....o what?? New update gives PSP there own Playstation Store?? Nice! :D
