Never actually used the six-axis, didn't like the feel of it.

The difference between the six-axis control and the dualshock, is that the dualshock has vibration components and six-axis and the six-axis does not have the vibration components, but the six-axis.

That's what my friend said about the sixaxis... He was over my house to play MGS4 and he really didn't like the weight of the controller. His words exactly, "Wow this is a cheap piece of plastic." Does it really bother people that much?

Buy one, you wont regret it And Mgs4 was the first game to use the Ds3's Next Gen Rumble feature accordingly, the experience improves a lot with a Ds3. I bought My Ds3 for MGS4 and my SixAxis controllers collect dust ever since.

Oh I plan to. I'm hoping to get a DS3 on Christmas. The analogs on my sixaxis is acting up.

The controller or the feature? I still use the sixaxis. I love how light it is. Plus I'm unwilling to pay out for another controller just to get vibration.' I don't use the feature though. It just doesn't seem responsive enough in any of the games I've played.

I still use my two Sixaxis controllers. I didn't feel like paying $50 just so I could have a controller with rumble.

I utterly hate that thing, so I'm glad I didn't help buy a PS3 until it came with a DS3. The Sixaxis is too light, just as the original PS controller was.

I also have a six-axis. Two of them. At the time, had I know that they were going to bring out a DualShock 3, I probably would have waited to buy my second controller then. Six-axis is fine though. I especially like the fact that its name is a palindrome :P

I use it for games like battlefield and other titles where they want you to press really hard on the left stick to sprint.

I have both, Six-Axis came with the PS3 and I bought the Dual Shock 3 separately so I could play games split-screen. I don't use either the Six-Axis feature or the DS3's rumble, I also don't notice much of a weight difference either.

I actually enjoy the Six-axis.. As of now, I hardly see reason to purchase another control simply for a vibration function I barely recognize is absent.JACO9251

Same here. When I first played PS3 with MGS4, I didn't even noticed that the sixaxis wasn't vibrating. And I prefer sixaxis because it's lighter. I will buy dualshock 3 when my sixaxis isn't working anymore. Which I think (and hope) it will be a while.
