2008 - Depressing Year so Far

It seems like every release this year has been one big dud including ARmy of Two. I just checked the Gamestop release schedule, and practically nothing until Sept! SW Force Unleashed has been delayed again, and Condemned 2 won't be out until 3/18.

THe only major release for the whole month of April is GTA4. PRetty slim pickings yet again for PS3. Where are the freaking games?????

Or Rainbow Six Vegas 2 in just over a week, or MGS4 in June, or the Dualshock hitting US in April, or MLB The Show? Sounds like either a troll or just a whiner to me.

i was gonna say rainbow six vegas 2 army of two was bad in my opinon. also foudn it weird it took so many post for people to mention mgs4 coming out lol little big planet (which looks amazing) killzone 2 haze resistence 2 not a fan of these games personally but they are big ps3 games ps3 got a huge lineup for 2008

Burnout Paradise (Jan), Devil May Cry 4 (Feb), and Army of Two (Mar) have been awesome for me. One awesome game a month so far. The awesomeness continues next week with Condemned 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and Dark Sector the week after. Then the mother of all games for 2008 drops: GTA4.

This doesn't even take into account the games I have for other systems.

All in all, the start of 2008 has been amazing for me, and it only looks to continue with all of the upcoming games.

Yeah, August for both of 'em, also Two Worlds: The Temptation apparently, so, august will be an RPG filled month...apparently Chaos Wars (Ps2) is coming out in august as well.

This is clear trolling. I laugh at this thread. It's only two months and 2 weeks into the year and he says it's a depressing year so far. MLB 08 The Show and Burnout Paradise are great games. Nothing until Sept? The nerve of this guy to even say that! How dare he overlook MGS4 scheduled to be released in June. That right there is blashphemy! Vegas 2 in two weeks. Dualshock in April.

Stay depressed and cry while other PS3 gamers enjoy the games for this year.

lol same here. TC, I was reading what you were writing and thinking, "what!?" It's your opinion, which is fine, but I think I can speak for many people who have many titles they're really looking forward to all year.

Just next week I'll be purchasing Rock Band (yes I know, a 2007 game, but I can afford it now and NOT be broke after), then next week, R6V2, and after, GT5: Prologue, Dark Sector, GTAIV, Haze, Battlefield Bad Company, and MGS4 up until June 12. I'm pretty sure I've missed something, but that is a great list of games rounding out the first half of the year, and it'll only get better by year's end. There is obviously something for everyone.

Oh I'm not getting all these games BTW, though most. Just stating some games releasing in the near future.

Most games are going to be released on summer or during the holiday season.

Write next year to tell us about the depressing year you just have...

As for the lack of games...calm before the storm. Come 3rd/4th quarter, people are going to be begging for a breather and some time to refill their wallets. It's the story of the gaming industry, has been since...forever.

I've only purchased one game so far since the new year started (Devil May Cry 4, which I find to be a damn good game), but I don't think this year will be anything close to depressing when talking about the PS3. With all the great titles coming out, I only plan to get a few (a minimum of 4 and 8 max). I've already gotten one that I was really anticipating and hyped for before it came out.

The other games I'm hyped for are Soul Calibur IV, Midnight Club: Los Angeles, and White Night Chronicles (I really hope this game is released this year). I not as hyped for Metal Gear Solid 4 as I am the others I plan to get, but I think I may end up getting it too (I've never played through a Metal Gear game before, but I like that it's an action/stealth game. Also, it's the last in the series and I don't want to take the chance of missing out on a potentially great game.)

MGS4 comes out June 12 08 and Soul Calibur 24 (or something like that)

Grant turismo prologue come sout in april, and there is GTA (for those that like that)
