psp adware and viruses

can a psp get adware or viruses--just asking--and how would u get rid of them??

yes they can, and its really har to fix. If it gets like adware it will probably brick your PSP but there are ways of getting rid of it... but it might give your compouter adware or a virus so......

Samething happened to me, But I just used a scanning program for the PSP and it came right off. I plug the psp into the pc.

And the only way to run a "virus" is to manually install it and boot it yourself. If you keep your psp updated, then the ability to run unsigned code is not there, so it's really no problem. Just don't download EBOOTs from untrustworthy sites.

The closest thing that exists is malware versions of custom firmware, such as a recent one that included spurious data embedded in the middle of a valid firmware. If installed, it would "brick" your PSP.
