Hello Everyone

I have 2 options- a PC, and a PS4.

PC specs are-

CPU- Intel Core i5 4030 Quad Core Haswell Clocked at 3 Ghz.

GPU- Options- AMD Radeon

7990 HD 1 GB

R7 260X 2 GB with Thief 2014 free game code

R9 270X 2 GB

RAM- 8 GB

In my area, the PC- as it is an upgrade of my existing one- will only cost about 550$-600$, and the PS4 will cost 700$.

if you do not have to upgrade your pc for regular use (work, school, etc.), i'd advise you to go with a ps4, you will not need to upgrade your ps4 as long as it's operable... :)

If you can live without Playstation 4 only games. Infamous second son, Driveclub, Killzone shadow fall, The order 1866, Knack or any other Sony franchises that will eventually come to Playstation 4 such as God of War, Gran Turismo Ratchet and clank, MLB the Show, Liitle Big Planet or Resistance.

A PC should be fine for most 3rd Party games. But the wait times may be long. Or some 3rd party games will not make it to PC either. Grand Theft Auto 5 still is awaiting a PC port. I would suggest a PC only if your a huge first person shooter fan that plays a lot on on-line MP. The mouse and keyboard is best for those. Or if you are really into MMO on-line games League of legends, World of Warcraft, Final fantasy a realm Reborn etc. The mouse and keyboard is best for such games.

PS4 is $399.99 or $459.99 with 1 game. The bare minimum entry price. A PC upgrade to cost you $550.00 -$600.00 Depends on what type of games you like.

Playstation 4 is the way to go. But PC may be O.K. Some games will never be on PC. But some games work better on a PC.

@jellybeansjar: I would go for the games, if you want the exclusive games for PS4 badly. Go for it. That's what i did. You can always upgrade your pc later

Only go for PC if you are into the genres that come to PC most often. Strategy games, MMOs, Simulation. Other genres are covered well on consoles. I was debating whether to get a PC too but I went with PS4 because I like Japanese games. Lily Bergamo, Deep Down, Kingdom Hearts 3, FFXV, can't get those on PC. I will sadly miss out on WildStar, I hope that game does really well.

You always get top class exclusives with ps4, ps4 means its a one time investment for at least 5 years PS4 has got a very high configuration whereas PC's get obsolete quit fast. So imo always go for PS4, hope this helps.

PC has more games and better graphics. It is the obvious option for now.
