PS3 good?

i am not sure whether to buy a PS3, I like games since i was a little. coming 18th sept is my birthday. should i buy PS3? is it good? and GTA V is coming out soon. the trailer look good.

There are tons of great games for the PS3. 

Pick up PS+ as well if you've not bought any games in the last year or two.

Im still loving my ps3 even after owning it for 7 years. That says enough.

I don't think its silly to ask about the PS3 here. Ideally you want to ask the people that use the system and I also feel that people that use the system a lot are pretty open about any negatives they have also had with the system as well. For instance, I had 2 PS3s where the blu-ray disc laser broke on me, both were one month after each of their respective warranties ran out too. However those were a few years ago so as of now I don't think thats something to worry about especially if you keep the PS3 well ventillated and don't game for excessive spans of time.

A bit late to the Playstation 3. So far 77 million PS3 have been sold since November 11th 2006. So that is 77 million people worldwide that have decided to buy and play the PS3. The Playstation 3 is a good console. You have played Playstation or Playstation 2 before? Then you should have an idea of what types of games to expect. The DualShock 3 is still the great controller that was introduced in 1997. just now is wireless bluetooth. 

You can buy a brand new Playstation 3 for $199.99 even if it is the superslim 12GB flash memory model. A world apart from the $599.99 PS3 launch models of 2006.

So if you have never played a playstation 3 until now. This is the console to buy $200.00 brand new. As for games many of the same franchises of PS1 and PS2 are continued on the PS3. such as Metal Gear Solid, Twisted Metal, Final Fantasy etc.

Yes the Playstation 3 is good the best console of the 7th generation.

If you don't have a gaming PC or Xbox 360, then definitely get the PS3. It's completely worth it.

You can't go wrong with a PS3 man :). There's a ton of awesome games for it, and a vast amount of exclusives too :D. When you do get it, you should make a thread asking what games to get. Many of your fellow gamespotters here would be glad to give you some suggestions :D
