Demon Souls Login Error

I was playing Demon Souls and I was on psn, but not Demon Souls' network. I let it go through the automatic login process and instead of logging on, an error message came up stating inability to login. Then, it took me back to the start screen!

Does this occur with anyone else?

i could be wrong buy Im pretty sure they shut down the servers a while back
